Door Magnets

I read somewhere on here about door magnets (or door hangers) being a safty issue Does anyone know why that would be?? I was planning on making magnets for my guests, but I would hate for something to happen...

The door knob hangers can be a safety issue if they say things like "con find me at the pool" or "at dinner, back at 8" or they are the blank ones you can write your own messages on.

 

Basically, you don't want to let people know you aren't in the room and won't be there for awhile. It can be taken as an invitation for theft. I know that no one from our group had anything taken, but one of the other guests we met did. I don't think theft is a huge issue, but you do need to be smart about it and not invite trouble, KWIM?
