We decided to do the Mexican cocktail hour, 10 for drinks and 17 for food per person, is a lot, but our wedding is at 4 and we are starting the cocktail hour at 5:30, dinner at 6:30 to 9:30,  we are also having the mariachi band play us in to the cocktail hour,  When in Mexico...

That price seems to be a bit steep for our 60 guests - especially when we're at an all inclusive.  Has anyone done anything different?  Booked a group reservation at a restaurant?  We'd love to find an alternative option! Thanks

Hi Everyone so after much search an following these forums we have made the decision to book our wedding at OCT for April 26, 2014. We are beyond excited, so it seems that the rates for the guest at this resort seemed the most reasonable for all our guest who are most middle class and some low class and we would love for them to join us. Any feedback on the wedding experience or panning experience??? Anyone please HELP! :) So far just to make our deposit it has been a hassle... so hopefully now when we start working with Claudia things may go smoother! :)

Hi Ashleen7,

We had our wedding ceremony at 4pm and right afterwards OCT provides a champagne toast. We did a few group photos around 4:30, then we asked everyone to meet at the lobby bar at 6pm for "cheers and mingle" until we were seated for dinner at 6:30. We looked at doing a cocktail hour, but didn't want to pay that much. Our guests didn't miss a traditional "cocktail" hour at all. Also, OCT provided a signature drink at the reception as we went to sit down, which was a nice touch. I was completely happy with it this way, and we saved a lot of extra expense.
