Ocean Turquesa & Coral Brides?

Recommended Posts

@Kleenotes, they do have make-up at the salon, however there isn't the largest selection.  Everything worked out great for me and I liked the way it turned out....I was going for a more natural look.  If you do have an eyeshadow colour you really like I recommend bring it along.  I'm not a make-up connoisseur or anything so I found it really difficult to make a decision when the make-up artist would hold up an eyeshadow and say "how about this one?"  I had no idea, lol and was like "I don't know, do you think it would look good?"  Haha anyway to avoid a decision dilemma bring your own eyeshadow.

Hello everyone! I am looking at getting married at OTC or one of the Riu's in December of this year. I was wondering if you could tell me some of the selling points of the hotel and most of all the wedding options. We are looking at a small wedding and not looking to spend a great deal of money but want it to be unique. If anyone would be willing to share their experiences along with pictures of your wedding it would be greatly appreciated. :)

Hi ladies!! I am in the early stages of packing and was wondering if any of you had difficulty with Mexican customs with the items you brought over for the wedding (i.e. table overlays, fans, table seating holders etc.).  Any advice going over the border will help and be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

ErikaK- Welcome!  My fiance and I had looked at many resorts in this area.  When it came down to it- we chose this site because of this forum! and the price.  We wanted it to be affordable for our guests.  This was one of the most affordable that we found.  We also, are having a very small wedding of 15 people.  If you work your way through this forum, the former brides always had positive things to say about Ana and OCT..

I hope this helps!

Good luck!

Hey ladies I would love to know if anyone that had the steak and shrimp dinner option knows how it works, can the guests choose how they want their steak cooked I'm sure most of our guests will want medium rare however there will be some that want it more well done. Does the server go around and ask or do I tell Ana ahead of time or do we have to just have them all cooked the same way?

Hey Sandy,

We had 4 suit cases (2 personal, 2 wedding related that our parents took for us), 2 carry-ons, a wedding dress, suit bag and an aisle runner.  We were okay when it came to customs, however to be safe I had receipts for everything and ensured each bag didn't exceed $300 in decorations/favors (the wedding dress and suit are exceptions).  Out of our entire crew of guests I got the red light at the airport, lol.  The man who went through our bags was nice and very quick.  He just opened up the bags and looked inside...he didn't ruffle around or anything.  Everything should run smoothly for you.  :-)

Hey! We had the surf and turf combo, however we couldn't choose how to cook it...the staff aims for medium.  For some guests it was perfect and others complained it was overdone.  It's a wedding so it's tough to get the food right for everyone in a large group...especially steak.  The staff at the hotel are amazing and on our wedding day they were even MORE amazing....so you could talk to the head chef on your wedding day regarding the steaks.
