Hi

I am new to this site. We just decided to have a destinatioon wedding. I would love for it to be in Florida in May/June of 2008. I am looking for any help or advice on how to start planning. Look forward to sharing.smile159.gif

Hey Menc, welcome to the forum!! :)

A wedding in Florida, hey? Is it going to be on the beach, in Disney or where?

My FI and I will be honeymooning in Florida and we found this awesome villa (which we've stayed at before and LOVED) called Regal Palms. It's really cheap if you're staying a week+

I know of a planner down there (friend of the family) who is really good. I have her website info at work and I can send it to you tomorrow...

We had considered Florida for awhile. The only drawback was that we really wanted a resort (FI especially wanted AI resort) and we couldn't agree on any, except of course, the one on a private island that was $10K per night... :)

When I was in Miami Beach last, we stayed at the Fontainebleau Resort Hotel. It's right on the beach, has a couple gorgeous pools... and very nice dinning. I really enjoyed it.

Welcome! Florida sounds absolute fabulous. Since you mentioned Miami I will throw some places out there for you:

1. Four Seasons

2. Delano

3. The Setai

4. Sagmore Hotel

I know none of these are all-inclusive but they are soooooo nice. Would you consider having it a private estate? Or do you have your heart set on a resort? Let us know how we can help with your wedding planning.
