Thanks Tammy! I really appreciate this reminder. I always get excited when someone posts on the Secrets Maroma Beach thread and the last 4 posts have all been vendors and two of them are the same vendor. It's a little disappointing.

I really have to agree.  I do not think that the vendors realize it actually makes them look bad when they are not participating in the forum in a helpful manner.  Promoting your business is important but it is also important to do it in a helpful, tactful, and appropriate way.

 

If you see a vendor violating the rules, please report their post (there is a report link at the bottom of the post) so I can send a warning to the vendor.

 

I am sure their intention is not to alienate the members of the forum because it does not help their business.

I agree completely! It's nice to read through the posts, but just tonight I was reading through one, and there is a video posted that isn't even the same resort as the thread. It's definitely annoying. I like to see the vendors advertising to see what they offer, but as you said, appropriately and in the right place. And the rules absolutely should be the same for everyone. It's just what's fair!
