Canadian brides getting married in Mexico-Legal wedding info

Recommended Posts

We sent in our birth certificates about 2 weeks ago to Giovanni Translators (in Calgary) and we already received them back yesterday with all the different stamps for notarization and certification. Others have suggested this company on this thread and we found them to be extremely easy. You just mail in your documents and they translate them and then send them to the right people to get stamped, etc. I'd definitely give them a try if you need the paper work done.

Ok, I got this all sorted out...it turns out they changed the rules and now if you have never been married you only have to have your passports!

This is some AMAZING news to me...because yes I was supposed to have my spanish translated copies done and I did the english.

Major freak out averted...mostly.

yes! I would double check with your resort but they told me as long as neither of us had ever been married all needed to bring was passports then when we are there we get the card thingy from the airport and our blood tests.

Apparently these are very new rules....I confirmed with my WC and she said it was correct but I would double check with your WC...it might be different per area
