HELP!! Gift for my groom...

I'm fast running out of time and don't know what the hell to get him! We leave in a little under two weeks.

 

I'm willing to spend a few hundred dollars but am not feeling the usuals (to mean, watch, cufflinks, etc.)

 

Any suggestions (especially unique ones) will be very much appreciated!

Good Lord, I had no idea (honestly!) that we were supposed to buy them gifts!? LOL Wonderful. lol Do they buy us gifts as well?

I didnt know we were suppose to do gifts either until this forum!!! So I asked my FH about it and he didnt know either, so we decided not to give each other gifts....i have seen though that many brides are making those BD photo books for their FH and all the FH seem to love them!

I didn't know we were supposed to get gifts for each other until about 2 months ago.... LOL

At that time, I asked my FI about it, and fortunately (or unfortunately for me), he is on-the-ball and knew about the gift exchange thing. I think he got the idea from the move 'Serendipity', which I got him to watch (so... I guess this is on me).

Anyway.... he loves cooking, and has been drooling over a set of new knives... So, I think I'm going to get him the knives as his wedding gift. They're about $300, and hopefully they will last a lifetime.... just like our marriage will! We actually registered for them....

 

Maybe there's something on your registry list that he really wants and you're not so big on, that you could get for him?

 

My other ideas include an air hockey table for the basement (just add a dedication plaque), golf membership, or golf clubs.

Does he enjoy cigars? If so, you could get him a humidor and have it engraved. My FI really wants one of those and since I got him a BD book for our wedding day...I am thinking of getting him the humidor for Christmas. Just an idea.

You could try some cologne or a watch or something like that.

I was originally gonna get him luggage...but got made fun of *lol* and we will be getting that as a free gift via Sunquest so we are just planning on taking an excursion (sp)together while on our honeymoon and doing cards the day of the wedding. Keeping it simple.
