Sand Ceremony - pour timing?

Question to all you brides out there who have done your sand ceremonies at your weddings already.... how much of each color did you use for the ceremony? I have recieved my order of my two colors and they are 1LB bags... would this be enough, plus the sand of the beach when we are down there?? My container is probably going to be a 8" high square vase... any ideas Thanks!!

I have no clue what words were said. I let the minister use his own wording and honestly was too nervous/excited to really listen. He also guided us if we weren't doing what we were supposed to, so your minister will probably let you know when you should pour.
