How many guests are attending/attended your Cabo wedding?

We are inviting about 40 people for our November 2009 wedding. We haven't sent out STDs or anything yet, but we think most invitees will come. We are pretty much inviting people we know will come.

We invited about 40 and so far have 23 with deposits down. We are hoping for 3-5 more people! (those who said "oh yes yes forsure we'll be there" yet haven't put their deposits down...just tell me the truth already!!!)

I have heard that for near weddings you should expect about 80% of your invites to come. For destination weddings it is supposed to be about 60%- but you never know who may surprise you.

We invited 110 and are having 70-75 come. We only have about a month left!!!!!!

Hello!

We are having a reception when we get home, so we are sending out invitations that include both the Cabo Wedding & our Reception when we return. Saying that...we are inviting around 130 - so far we have 19 booked but we haven't sent out the invitations yet....probably tomorrow We are expecting around 30 guests to join us in Cabo, mostly everyone will be at our reception.

I think we might be the anomaly here: We invited 175 and are expecting 150 to come. We purposely had a destination wedding so we could shorten the guest list, but it turns out that almost everyone invited is coming! The exceptions are mostly pregnant people, including THREE of my bridesmaids, plus a 96 year-old grandmother.

My advice is to really think about who wouldn't miss your wedding no matter what... Then make a list of those people. We weren't far off our actual number once we did that.

Also, we sent a pre-STD email asking "must-have" people (like wedding party and family) to book early. That way we had a better idea right away of who could come and who couldn't.

We invited over 100 people, which mostly included family, but we were counting on 50. Our closest friends are ALL going. We are very lucky! We now have our RSVPs and a total of 40 adults and 2 kids will be going
