Congrats! Looking forward to your review :)

Of April? Congrats! Coming up so soon. Do you have most everything set at this point or do you have some decisions to make when you arrive?

Hi Sharon99-

Sorry I didn't reply sooner-

I actually wore a fake in my hair (it was borrowed and something I had already planned on)- but all my bridesmaids had real flowers and they were great the whole night!  We booked Juan for 5 hours...  he did a fantastic job!

Hope all is well!  Best wishes!

Thanks!

We are having a hard time deciding on whether to do a legal or symbolic ceremony at EPM. We originally planned for a legal ceremony but with paying $200 each for blood tests and apparently you have to get everything translated, we are a little hesitant now and not sure what to do. I really have my heart set on doing it there though...

Any brides have any input or regrets on doing either one?

In Switzerland everyone has to get a civil marriage before they can have a church wedding or otherwise, so we only had a symbolic wedding in Mexico.  I had similar thoughts about it, so understand how you feel about wanting it to be the "real" wedding, however, you don't even have to tell anyone that you are already married, and it makes things exponentially easier.  None of your guests would ever be the wiser.  Our wedding was perfect and beautiful and there were still tears of joy, and we didn't have to deal with the extra hassle.

I only wish that I had had this advice before I told my future inlaws that our legal work would be done here. They keep stressing that when we sign the papers here that is our "actual" wedding date and that is when our anniversary will be. To me, the ceremony means so much more than a piece of paper. If I could go back, I wouldn't mention to anyone that there would be a seperate civil marriage, and I wouldn't have to answer to anyone about when we'll celebrate our anniversary.
