Hey ladies. I need to sit down and write a detailed review, but I just have to say that our wedding was amazing. Yamina is so sweet and helpful and the resort is beyond goregous!!!

 

We got married on Monday May 23 at 5 PM on the beach and had our reception inside one of the rooms in the convention center. It was definitely hot so I'm glad we had our reception inside although the air conditioning could have been much stronger. We had 45 people.

 

Our photographer was Sascha Gluck and he was wonderful. He made us feel so comfortable, and I can't wait to see the pictures.

@cole379 Have them check out La Amada. It is literally right down the beach from EPM and they allow children. My parents had a view of the playground for kids at La Amada from their room at EPM...it's that close.

Day Passes for EPM

 

$150 9 a.m.-5 p.m.

$100 5 p.m.-9:00 a.m.

 

I got that quote from the customer service line. Hope that helps!!

Thanks for the replies. Yasmina told me that a day pass is $70 for the event day but they only get to come on site an hour before the wedding. They are going to stay at La Amada since it is going to be an all-inclusive after January of next year.

 

We are early in the planning process but I was wondering if anyone could let me know when you are able to reserve your reception location. We absolutely have our heart set on the event terrace. Since there is a bride getting married that day at 3 pm (I assume since the 5 pm slot was open but not the 3 pm slot), how do they let each bride pick their reception venue? What if we want the same one?

Hey Nicole! Congratulations! I was married last year at Excellence Riviera Cancun. The Excellence brand is amazing and I haven't been to EPM yet, but I've heard wonderful things. You're going to have a top notch wedding! We had Del Sol do the photography and I can tell you that almost 1 year later (in a week), I still tear up when I look at the photos. They're incredible people to work with and true artists! Good luck with the planning! I've included some of the pics from Del Sol below

Also, I see that you're from Philadelphia? I'm originally from the Allentown area and went to college in West Chester, PA!

Hi ladies,

 

So we got our confirmation letter for officially booking our wedding from the Weddings Manager at Excellence. In the letter it says that we will have a dedicated wedding specialist assigned to us one month before the date. Um, I thought we started planning before that! I know that other brides on the boards have begun their planning and communication with Yamina long before a month before the big day so I am confused! Will I still be contacted by Yamina soon or what is my next step now? I want to ensure that we get our desired reception location and start planning things like the DJ etc.!

I never got a letter from them at all...I didnt know you were supposed to. And my date has been reserved now for months! Now I am concerned! LOL! The hardest part about a DW is everything & everyone is so far away

Think I will email Yamina tomorrow. I have a few questions for her anyways.

Did you have to fill out any paperwork so far with Yamina? Did she contact you to get the planning started? I really want to try and get the Event Terrace for our wedding and am worried that another bride that day might already have it.
