What are you walking down the Aisle to?

Recommended Posts

I've been having the hardest time with this!

Here is what I have so far - let me know what you gals think:

- Bridal Party Entrance: Can't Help Falling in Love with you - Vitamin String Quartet

- Me: Wonderful Tonight - Vitamin String Quartet

- Sand Ceremony: Until You (slow version) - Dave Barnes

- Exit: Best Day of My Life - American Authors or Wonderwall - Vitamin String Quartet

- Reception Entrance: Feeling Hot Hot Hot - Don Omar or Danza Kuduro - Don Omar or Gotta Feeling - Black Eyed Peas

I know, I have a VSQ problem lol

I haven't heard them all but the ones I have are lovely. I really wanted to use 'best day of my life' somewhere but didn't make it work :(

I love Danza Kuduro!!

All are great choices for your entrance.

My resort didn't request an entrance song so never crossed my mind :)

I love Danzo Kaduro! It always makes me think of Cancun and I put it on our pre-mailer CD :).  That would be a great song to exit to... Hrmm.

I keep changing my mind!  Our aisle isn't all that long and our wedding party is small, so I'm also wondering if I should just walk in to the same song as the bridal party?

This is what I have for now but it's changed several times

- Bridal Party entrance - Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World (Israel Kamakawiwo'ole)

- Me - Same song above? Or Can't Help Falling in Love with You (Elvis) Or switched with above

- Exit song - Top of the the World (imagine Dragons) but now also considering Danzo Kuduro

- Bridal Party entrance/intros - Levels (Aviciii)

- Bride/Groom entrance - Feel So Close (Calvin Harris)

- First Dance - All of Me (John Legend - I've purposefully stopped listening to it to keep it special haha)

And we're having a slide show so I was able to sneak in some more song choices here :). We're doing 3 short songs

- Either Best Day of My Life (American Authors) or What I Wouldn't Do (Serena Ryder) for the growing up/family part

- It's Time (Imagine Dragons) for the friend part

- I'm Yours (Jason Mraz) for the me and Tony part

I'd personally have a separate song for you. It's your big day and you want to build some excitement for your entrance. :)

I need your guy's opinion. The other day for fun I started thinking about this. I'm a huge fan of the little mermaid so I have the soundtrack on my iphone and this song came up. I loved it and I thought maybe I could walk down the aisle to it. What do you guys think, is it too cheesy?

I agree with Calgarybride above. I think you should have your own song but I also love over the rainbow haha. I love the idea of Danza Kuduro. I'm a huge fan of that song and it also reminds me of Cancun and summer :P

@TinkerSofi

Personally I think if it's you, it's perfect.  For someone who hasn't watched the movie in eons or isn't a large fan, like yourself, they wouldn't even know where it is from.    I love that it's instrumental and has building points :)

@@TinkerSofi - if its you and your groom agrees, go for it! As much as a wedding feels like its about other people, it truly is the one time you can be all about you and your groom!

@@travelgal78 - I love VSQ - I have been listening to so much of their stuff. My groom doesn't want me walking down to a 'slow traditional' song, but I find these can be a good compromise.  He loves the song Don't Stop Believing and VSQ does it, so that may be my aisle song.

  • 5 weeks later...

We are having a guitarist for the ceremony so we are waiting to talk to him before making up our minds. We have ideas but want to make sure he can play them before committing! Our best man is also going to sing "For Always" by Josh Groban at some point!
