Flights cancelled?? Only one month to go!!

hello

i think its great problem . but I know that when FI and I booked our trip to Jamaica back in July we were originally with Signature vacays and flying with Air Transat - then Signature decided to drop all its packages to Jamaica in April. We switched over to Sunquest, flying with SkyService.

This happened to me on yesterday. Air Jamaica called and they have cancelled our flights that we booked back in October. They can put us on another flight leaving a day later and we would have to return 2 days later than planned. This did not work for me so we requested a refund and will book on Delta.

Did they agree to the refund? My parents and FBIL and others are in the same predicament with Air Jamaica (they canceled the return flight to Chicago for Memorial Day Monday!) and our travel agent tried to say they wouldn't get a refund, only credit with Air JA.

Air Jamaica offered a full refund. We bought our plane tickets separate from our resort stay with the travel agent. I have wedding guest on the return flight that was cancelled who bought them through our travel agent. I will call her on Monday to see how they will be affected by this. Delta flights cost more than we paid for the Air Jamaica tickets so that sucks.

That does suck that the Delta tix are more expensive but good to hear that Air JA offered a full refund!
