Hi all! My future sister in law does wedding photography on the side. She was obviously invited to our wedding and will be doing some of our wedding photos as well as the resort photographer. I really want to do a trash the dress photo session with her but since she is new to this and I haven't done one before I'm not really sure what I want. Does anyone have a link to their photo session or could paste some on this thread? She is coming in for Thanksgiving and I'd love to show her some ideas. Thanks girls!

Mandy

Mandy, there are lots of threads where people posted their TTD photos. I suggest searching the forum first. You can also google trash the dress, and a lot of great hits for ideas will come up.

Hey guys,

So I have maybe a silly question?? The "Trash the Dress" photo shoot is normally done on the day after the wedding right?? and then I also am curious if you guys wear your actual wedding dress or if you get a cheap make do one just for the shoot...?

LOL I hope I am not making my self look foolish :)

Jamie, yes, it is usually done the day after the wedding. My brides will start out doing all the dry spots, walk around the resort. very similar to wedding day pictures but very laid back. Then we'll go in the water, pool, etc. One of my clients had her original wedding dress but that was it. Some bought their ttd from jcrew or even ebay. i also had a bride get one from the target bridal stuff! good luck, it's a lot of fun!

I just bought a separate wedding dress off ebay for 40 bucks, including shipping. Since I want to wear my wedding dress at AHRs, I figured I'd better not risk it coming clean...especially since it's all sequins and lace!

You can get a really nice dress on ebay for cheap as long as you're patient!!
