When do you decorate for the holidays?

I can't wait to start decorating!!! It's my first christmas at my new apartment and I'm already envisioning where everything is going to go.

we go to cut down our tree every year, its so much fun and they seem to stay fresh longer that a pre-cut.

 

normally we go next weekend on sunday, but this year we are going today! we like to go the sunday after thanksgiving, but we had thanksgiving at dougs parents yesterday and we are both crazy christmastime people, so we figured that was full license to get a tree a week early. plus its gorgeous outside today, perfect sunny but cold tree cutting weather.

 

we dont usually do lights or anything outside cause we dont have a ladder and our neighborhood isnt full of decorating crazies, but we do the living room up, throughout the next couple of weeks.

I love Christmas time, so I like to decorate the weekend after Thanksgiving. We would probably do it even sooner if we did not normally travel for Thanksgiving.
