Am I Crazy?

Recommended Posts

You can do it lady...2 lbs per week is totally achievable! Just make sure you kick it into high gear during those cardio sessions cuz this is where you'll really elevate that heart rate and burn, burn, burn those calories....especially during spinning!

And don't forget to eat your carbs....this is where most of your energy comes from to carry you through the day, and you'll need them during those intense workouts.

Just remember, you'll have ups & you'll have downs over the next few months...you'll have those days where you don't really feel like going to the gym....what I usually do is drag myself to the gym and at least hop on a bike for a light cardio session so that I get SOME exercise in there. You'll be surprised, sometimes when you get the ball rolling like that you end up working out harder than other days wink.gif

It's definitely doable. 5 1/2 months is about 21 weeks which means you have to lose a little over a pound a week. Each lb equals 3500 calories which means you need to cut approx 500 calories a day in calories or burn off an additional 500 calories or do a combination (250 reduction in food intake and burn 250 by cardio maybe?) When I want to lose weight I do Slimfast and Lean Cusines which are easy, fast, and not too expensive. Working out is good for you but you won't see results as fast unless you're running an hour a day which is hard (I alternate running and walking). Consistency is key.
