Attendant Gifts

Recommended Posts

If we are paying for the flight/hotel/all-inclusive plan for attendants and parents, do we still have to buy them a gift? Or can the trip be considered the gift? How do we express that to them? They are very appreciative of the trip. I was thinking about a nice 8x11 frame for the parents at Christmas (for wedding picture) and putting together a nice shadow box for the girls for Christmas w/wedding pics of us (Christmas is a couple weeks after the wedding). Is that enough?

Also, any gift suggestions for ring bearers??

omg yes totally, I think just getting their air/hote is a gift in itself. I mean that is really nice gift. Most people are not funding their attendents or parents trip to the wedding, we certainly are not we would be bankrupt if we that.

How old is the ring bearer?
ours is 7 we have thought yet what to get him, something that he would like nothing that he won't use, maybe something that he can use while in mexico at our wedding

Well, upon engagement my parents gave us a very nice unexpected gift of money for the wedding so paying for trips was really not as hard on our budget as it sounds.

We ended up getting the ring bearer some Thomas train toys and a book. He was only 2 years, 9 mos. It helped talking to a woman at work with a boy the same age. It was a good idea to get a child something they can use during the trip.

I think paying for the hotel/airfare is more than generous for your attendant gift. Someone else also suggested that you can get them a nice card/write them a note that thanks them for coming and states that your attendant gift to them is their hotel/airfare, etc. FH and I are sort of doing the same thing. We are paying for all of our guests' accomodations for the week of our wedding. We are basically saying that this is our wedding favor to everyone and will write them a nice note stating so. As for our attendant gifts, we are still trying to think of something.
