Anyone already been married at the RIU in Puerto Plata??

Recommended Posts

I have had no contact with the wedding coordinator yet! yikes! A friend of mine is going to be our photographer. He is great with a camera and fantastic with photoshop so I am happy. He is also my BM's hubby so he was coming anyways. Hee hee. Bachatbride told you of the bad review of the hotel photographer eh?

Date is coming quick. All our paperwork is done and faxed off. They let us know there were some mistakes with FI birth certificate translation so we are dealing with that right now. Of course they didn't say what the issues were so hopefully the consulate will be able to fix it. Where are you at in planning?

Honestly, I really haven't planned much!!! Still so far away. I've gotten started on my OOT bags, and bought 2 dresses for myself, and also picked out the bridesmaid dressess.... I have a problem with my MOH though, she is going through artificial insemination right now and "says" she will be fine with leaving her baby with her mom for a week, provided she even gets prego.. But she needs to get prego and have the baby BEFORE my wedding... So it's kind-of freaky, so Im waiting on actually ordering the dressess until we find out on Nov. 28th if she has a bun in the oven. I don't know what to do, I don't want to hurt her feelings by cutting her out of the wp, so i'm just going to wait and see, cause if she's not and has to do the treatments again she will have to drop out or she will be close to 9 months when I get married.... Urrrrrrgh.... Because I'm getting married right at NOON, my fiance and I have decided to have a private reception on a catamaran afterwards (through mel's tours). I have been to the resort in Nov 2007, so I have an exact idea of what things with look like already and saw a couple weddings on our vacation which looked really nice, so when it starts getting a little closer I will contact the hotel and make direct arrangements. . We are there for 5 days before we get married so we have a time advantage to make everything perfect. Let me know when you hear from the wedding coordinator and how it turns out.. I've spoken to her over email and she seams a little un-cooperative, so you might want to first start by contacting a hotel manager. Good luck and please keep in touch with your progresses...
