You have no idea how happy I am I found this website! You know you guys have some great points. I hadn't considered the distance from LA to DR, or even to PDC. Anyone else from LA or California? I guess what makes the decision a bit harder is the fact I haven't been to any of the locations before. SMF47 is right the pictures of the beaches in DR look breathtaking! (But then again...so do Belize and PDC!!!) AHHH!!! It’s so hard to decide! LOL I guess maybe I should narrow it down to least complicated travels huh? :/

Welcome to the forum! I'm from Santa Barbara, but usually fly out of LAX. I don't want to complicate things for you, but if airline flights costs are an issue - you may want to try West coast Mex. Flights tend to be a bit less to say PV or Cabo.

 

But, if $ isn't an issue - I vote Belize!

I have been here just a couple of months and learned SO much! Just explore what people did and what they liked to determine if you would like the same things. Each place is special and in the end, we are going with the DR. The beaches and water are just what I dreamed out. Good luck!
