Colors for Wedding Guests?!

I have been thinking about what colors I want for my wedding and have not made a final decision yet. Have any of you chosen a color for your all of your wedding guests to wear? I was thinking about asking my guests to wear "Shades of Blue" because I love the color! Have your guests cooperated with your request?

 

Looking for suggestions! Any pics of guests in specific colors?

I thought about asking them to wear a certain color but I was thinking, they are coming all the way from Mexico and I don't want to put more strain on them by asking them to wear a certain color.

 

FYI...my colors are orange with a taste of wine and yellow. I was thinking about asking them to wear all white even before I chose my colors.

yea i was going to do an all white wedding, i think it looks sooo nice. but i changed my mind cause i do want some color now.

We are doing a Mayan/Cosmic ceremony and asking our guests to wear all white. Then the only colors we will have is orange on the back of my dress, my bouquet, FI tie and my parasol.

 

I think everyone wearing shades of a color would be awesome though! A sea of blue on the beach would be so beautiful. Carla

I think it would look really cool if everyone would wear the same color, but it seams hard to get everyone to do it. I don't think I would be happy if I were told what color I had to wear to a wedding, especially if I had to buy a new outfit when I wasn't planning on it. It might depend on how many guests you are having.

I love having all of the guests in the same color. I know Alyssa asked everyone to wear white/neutrals and it looked great.

 

I asked my guests to wear "Ocean Colors". The ones who followed directions looked great! I think there were only 2 or 3 that didn't. These people were guests of those that I invited, so I think if you make your wishes clear early on it shouldn't be a problem.

 

Because it was a beach wedding, I'm pretty sure everyone asked me what they should wear.

I think I am going to ask all my guests to wear shades of white, and men with light pants. The pics just look so amazing! I think my bridesmaides will be picking very light shades of pink or purple for their dresses and the only bright colors will be our flowers and the grooms tie.

I've seen pics of an all white beach wedding....it looked so beautiful. This is prob the only colour I would stick to if I were going to ask guests to wear a specific colour and expect them to stick to it...makes life easy for everyone I think. Who doesn't have something white...come on now?!?!?!?! haha

We are going to ask our guests to wear bold, bright colours - I think the colours will come up great in pictures! We are going to put in on our invites nearer the time!

We've come to the conclusion that we're already asking our guests to spend quite a bit of money to come to our wedding and we're not going to have them go out and buy a new outfit too!
