That's good to hear! Do they have any sample videos? And did he say what's included?

SMB ladies -

I will not be having a cocktail hour. My ceremony is at 3. Is 6pm a good time for the reception?

I plan on including in the programs a little note with a saying like "feel free to freshen up or explore the resort, but be sure to meet us back here for the reception/celebration at 6" (somewhere a long those lines). This way my bridal party and FI and I can go and take pictures without the time contraints.

What do you all think?

Just found out from Cecilia that the Gazebo Terrace is booked by another couple for their reception. I have been asking her about that space for almost 2 months now and never once did she say it was booked until today.

I am devasted. And my back up space is also booked. I told her to add it to the contract multiple times and she never did. I did not want to sign the contract without the proper information in the contract. But she didn't listen. She also hasn't taken out the cocktail hour or added my bonfire like I told her to 3 times already.

is there anything I can do about this? I don't have a reception space! And I do NOT want in on the beach. I AM SO UPSET I WANT TO CRY OR THROW UP OR BOTH!!

Oh Lorcas!  I'm sorry!!  If I were you would go with two options.  A) talk to Cecilia and ask why she didn't schedule it when you originally talked about it and see if there are any options from her side.  B) What was your second option, I feel like I remember thinking the Barracuda lawn or even the World Cafe Terrace might be nice.   I saw a wedding that I believe was on the wedding cafe terrace and it looked AWESOME!!  On another note, I might ask if the Gazebo is booked what time that wedding is.  Hang in there!!  I promise I seem to be experiencing the closer your wedding gets the more responsive she is now, but I know the frustration when you want to get it all signed and set.  Another side note, I seem to get better and faster responses when I only address one thing at a time.  Your day will be fabulous no matter what happens!! :-)

Also ladies, just a heads up, I did email Cecilia about table runners and she said that the tables were 1.8 meters in diameter which seems odd & to my knowledge is not a standard table size. So I am still trying to figure out what length our table runners should be if anyone has any advice it is much appreciated!!  :-)

Un4gitabl - I did get your email about the runners. We just moved in the last two weeks, so the runners are in a box somewhere. They weren't a special size. I thought the tables looked like a standard round banquet table, but I could be wrong. I will measure the runners as soon as I can find them :-)

Thank you so much KCDawn!  I didn't want to bug you, but I thought I would check with you.  I am leaning toward just making them longer so if the tables are smaller then the runner will go down further on the sides of the table, but if they are bigger then they should still work.  I figure too big is better in this situation.  :-)

We just got back from SMB for our site visit and completely fell in love with the resort! I can not wait for May 2014!!! I honestly have nothing bad to say about our trip, the food, drinks and service were great and they always had some sort of activity going on.
