One positive thing about an earlier wedding, you would have plenty of time with your photographer afterwards to take photos before the sun goes down. Many times when you have an early wedding, you can take a couple hours to do photos, then take an hour or more for everyone to go back to the rooms and freshen up and get ready for the reception in the evening.

When we were there December '08, it wasn't a HUGE problem (finding chairs at the beach or by the pool)...however my DH's cousin would get up early and go save a bunch and sit there until we all got there:-)

That said, she did that by the pool, and I think the beach chairs don't actually fill up til the afternoon...
Again, though, that was December...hotter months may be different:-)

But even after all the guests left (we stayed an extra week)...we didn't have problems finding pool chairs...may not be the exact location you wanted, but shouldn't be too bad...

I'm thinking about having my wedding here, but noticed that packages are for hotel guests only. Does anyone know thee fee for non-guests? Also, what is the fee if I go over the 20 guests to go to the ceremony and reception?
Thanks!
As far as I know, a day pass costs about $90 USD...
(unless they've increased it to $150? that seems REALLY high...maybe double check with Cecilia...)

We went over the 20 guests as well, and basically you are charged per person for the food and drinks (assuming you're having a "private" reception and not just at one of the restaurants?)...
The charge per person depends on what menu items etc you choose and what "level" of package you bought...i.e. gold, silver or platinum...

HTH :-)

About the $150 dollar day pass....

I asked Cecilia last year, around Aug 09, what it would cost to bring in an outside photographer and she said the fee was $90. I would assume that's the cost of a day pass. However, when I confirmed with her last week that we were using an outside photographer, she said that it was $100 fee for a pass. I plan on bringing printouts of all email communications between Cecilia and I to our wedding in a few weeks, just because she doesn't seem to stay concrete on her price quotes.

So, in my opinion $150 seems steep. But no matter what happens. Hang onto your email correspondance so that you have proof of prices she quotes you.

Good Luck. I'm not sure how I would handle your situation....
