Kissing at Reception

I always hate it at wedding receptions when everyone taps their glasses to get the bride and groom to kiss. Anyone have any ideas or sayings to avoid having the tapping on glasses? I'd like to do something that the guests don't want to do so we don't have to kiss excessively in front of everyone lol.

I have the perfect suggestion for this. I was looking at someones pictures (sorry can't remember who) and they had a table set up with a bottle of tequila and shot glasses. I think it is a fun idea. I wonder what would be good for Jamaica?

I've heard of this, but I've never been to a wedding where it was done. I think I've only seen it on movies.

People did that to us at our post wedding dinner. First time, we kissed each other. Second time, we turned the opposite way and kissed our twins (on the cheek). Third time, we kissed other people in our wedding group. People slowed down after that...or maybe it is just because we left the restaurant and went to the lobby bar.

i always hated it when i went to weddings and was worried that people would do it a lot at ours. in the end, it only happened a couple times and it was not as bad as we thought it would be.

That is a great idea! I think every wedding I have been too that has been done and after a while I could see it getting a bit 'played out'.

Hmm...now that I think about it; I may use that idea!

I've been to a wedding that you had to sing part of a song with the word love to get them to kiss. I better think of something cause my mom is so bad when it comes to this!
