What size of paper lanterns?

I want to order my paper lanterns for our wedding, but I'm uncertain about which size to order.

 

What is the size that other ladies bought for their lanterns that they hung at their wedding?

 

This is the area of where I'll be stringing my lanterns from.

 

 

I'm thinking 16 inch, but I have no idea?

They are much bigger than you think once you open them up. 16 would probably be pretty good for this area. Are you doing just one color? We have 4 different colors we are hanging. Our cream ones are 10", blue are 8", pink are 12" and then we're doing 8" for the green as well. We decided to do different sizes to make is it unique and not just uniform.

Both my fiance are afraid of colour, so we are just doing plain white. LoL. I'm thinking that maybe we will buy some LED Christmas lights and string the lanterns through them.

 

Just need to email my WC and see if this is possible. LoL.

I think that in your area it would be best for just white or cream. Our reception is in a large palapa.

Oh that sounds exciting. What are your wedding colours?

Our main colors are fushia and aqua blue, but we've added in a bit of lime green. We decided to do some cream lanterns though, so its not so circus looking w/ all the colors.
