Your skin will sparkle after this progressive resurfacing procedure. Vibradermabrasion has been shown in a number of studies to improve the appearance of sun damaged skin and removes the top layer of the skin, leaving it supple and vibrant. It is an excellent treatment for reducing sun damage, age spots, fine lines, acne scarring and pigmentation problems. Vibradermabrasion is also a great preparatory procedure to help maximize the benefits of laser treatments.
Is vibradermabrasion better than microderm?

Cassie - the first time I did not have any redness the second time she increased the level of the peel and my forehead was read and peeled for about 3 days nothing too bad the last time was not bad at all so I am sure at my next apt she will increase it again.

FLgator - I found this online HOW DOES VIBRADERM DIFFER FROM OLDER MICRODERMABRASION?

In the past, microdremabrasion machines have used particles of aluminum oxide or other crystals to "Sandblast" the skin. These older machines, including the Diamond Tome (which is now considered older technology), treat a very small spot size, making it difficult to treat a large area. Both crystal-type machines and Diamond Tome are rough and irritating to the skin.

Older machines are outdated and have been shown to be dangerous and toxic because of the crystals or contaminants. Aluminum oxide and crystal microdermabrasion machines have been shown to leave residues in the skin causing inflammatory reactions and contact dermatitis and actually worsening the skin condition one is trying to improve.

Further, studies have shown aluminum oxide and crystal machines cause respiratory tract problems for both patients and technicians. VIBRADERM USES NO CRYSTALS AND USES NO SUCTION! These older and out-dated machines that use crystals and suction can cause erythema (redness) for a couple days to weeks. Further the “suction” component of these older machines has been known to cause and worsen blood vessel formation on the skin.

Hahahaha... That's exactly what I was thinking about... That's why I asked how bad the redness was. That episode still cracks me up!
