Hi! I'm new and would love some help!

I'm Tobie. I'm getting married on May 16, 2008 to my wonderful fiance Tim somewhere in Playa del Carmen.

 

I have been contacting wedding planners in the area, but I'm so overwhelmed with info that I don't know what to do. We really don't want to have the wedding at a large all inclusive resort.

 

Can anyone tell me if they have used Weddings in Playa or Papillon weddings? Or anyone else they would recommend? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I'm using a WC that works all around the Riviera Maya, she's actually a florist but also coordinates weddings, her name is julieta, if you want her contact let me know.. she doesn't have a webpage but she's been good so far, and I met her in person when I went to cancun..

 

Let us know more about you're wedding, how many people are you inviting? etc..

Welcome Tobie! I'm not using a WC, but I think "itsme" may have used wedding in Playa if I remember correctly, and loved them, but check with her because I could be thinking of someone else!

Thanks everyone for your nice responses. It makes me feel better just knowing there are others out there that are feeling my pain... I mean joy! HA.

 

I really don't have any spots in mind yet. I just know I want it close to Playa and I think I'm going to have about 50 people. I have been corresponding with Mari from Weddings in Playa and she has been very responsive so far, which makes me feel good about being able to get in touch with her when I need to. At some point I just need to make a decision and go with it.

 

I am going down to Playa in May to look for a location. but its going to be a quick trip. Any suggestions on how to use my time to the fullest?
