Pinz- could you send me the package for 2011 or is it online somewhere?

I know, I feel like everything is starting to add up, the Arch, flowers, hair, makeup, etc!  It's so silly to pay $240.  BUt what would they do if you didn't have one?  Has anyone seen pics where the couple did not have the arch?

Hwilley218,  how are you getting your bags down there? and is it $3 a bag if they had them to the guest at check-in or onlky if delivered?

I believe it's only $3 dollars if you have them delivered and free if they hand them out at reception (at least thats the way Maria made it sound).  I'm just planning on bringing all my OOT stuff and other wedding stuff in my checked luggage.  When I leave I'll probably have an empty bag...lol- but I guess shipping your stuff down there isn't reccommend since it might not show up on time (gets caught up in customs)

I'm doing the basic symbolic package and paying for the arch seperately. It does cost another $240 which I think is silly because you're not keeping the damn thing LOL

I'm getting my hair and make up done at the salon in the resort... I'm horrible at doing my own makeup and I want it to stay on and not look shiny (hopefully) in the pictures. I may even pay one of the make up artists to come over before pictures at touch me up embarrest.gif

Also, is anyone doing thier own make-up?

They are- the prices are slightly higher in the 2011 but not by much. cheers.gif

I'm wondering if anyone has gotten married there during the day before.  How hot is the weather?  Was the groom okay in a suit?

I talked to Maria about getting married at 1 in the afternoon, in April, and she said it's very hot and suggested later on in the day.

My groom is not going to wear a suit (i wish he would) but I hope that helps!

one of the reasons you should get married later in the day is because of the wind factor.  feb and march are really windy in the mayan.  i suggest getting married at 3:30 or later.  it also really starts to cool down at 4pm so a suit should be okay then.

we are getting married at 5:30 and doing our pictures ahead of time.  sunset is at 6pm on march 1 if that helps you.

Question, has anyone heard heard from Maria in the last few weeks???  I am getting married the first weekend of June and have tried contacting her about my wedding with no response.  Its starting to concern me since the last time I spoke with her was late October, and now I have more stuff to figure out about the wedding.   I have tried emailing her several times about the matter and still have not anything.
