LadyP
I couldnt vote. I have a 4'0" 6 year old who had to press the democratic button for his BOY Barack Obama. Amir had the honor of voting a few times today with me dad, nana, and pop pop.

Opice34
If he won Texas I don't think I'd sleep for 3 days. The excitement would be too much! Happy early birthday!!!

I live in a mostly gay area so everywhere I look there are Obama signs and supporters. But on my way to work, its all McCain. Feels like a different world...5 miles apart. I just want Texas to be a closer race...at least get to "lean" rather than automatically marked red
coppergoddess13
I voted Obama. I agree with him on nearly everything- economic, education, the war in Iraq, and basically all social issues. I feel that McCain may have been a good person originally, but he has twisted his beliefs to appeal to a wider conservative base and I wouldn't trust him any more after all of his flip-flopping. I just think Obama will be a more positive leader in the world stage for America. Also- I'm an Obama fan in Aggieland (Texas), and yeah... I wish the votes were going closer. One day I hope Texas will be even leaning slightly towards my type of candidates:) Its nice to know there are other Texans who support Obama! Birdie07
Ok so I'm watching the coverage on the news. I'm sitting in the office my DH has the tv on in the bedroom. They show a map of the US and of course Alaska and Hawaii are at the bottom. The news lady says I quote "Where are Hawaii and Alaska...oh I see at the bottom...wait is that where they really are?" OMG seriously? I just had to share. Crazy.
Opice34
Calia - LOL what channel are you watching?? Also, how do you say your name? It looks so pretty! I think I've asked before. Is it Cay-lee-ah, or Cal-ee-ah, or something else? Hello to my fellow Texans! (I'm an Aggie, too!) Hugs!

jajajaja
I would quote but I'm too lazy tonight. Great discussion thus far and I'm absolutely THRILLED it stayed on topic and didn't become attacking. Thanks for the libertarian vote- I do like the ideology of the party but I felt my vote would be better put to use for the two big parties. I would like to see more options in the future though and I know I'm definitely not helping that wheel turn but I really like Obama too. We actually had a measure that proposed making it a two party system in our state- which is determined in the primaries. I totally voted a big NO on that one.
