Hi Galen,

I am currently debating between Dreams and Sunset da Mona Lisa. How many people are attending your wedding? My issue is the bar prices - the per hour prices seem outrageous to me! Are you doing it based on consumption or open bar hourly? Any and all info will help. Thanks!

AlanaK, I'm having a small wedding with 16 guest. I'm doing the bar based on consumption since I don't have many big drinkers in my family. David, the event manager there, also told me that you can tweak the bar to basically just have a few choices so you don't have people going totally crazy ordering whatever they want. For example, you can tell him you just want margaritas, daiquiris, beer, and wine and then if you only want to spend $1000 on alcohol, then he'll tell you when you're approaching the limit and you can decide if you want to close the bar or whatnot. I have a friend who got married there last year and that's what she did and said it worked out pretty well. I chose SDML because I wanted a more private ceremony without resort guests peeping the whole time. Plus, I just fell in love with the views and terraces there. Let me know if you have anymore questions.

Thanks so much for the info. We are going to have at least 50-60 guests, and after much debate we are going with Dreams. It was way too expensive at SDML - we have a lot of friends coming who are heavy drinkers! It looks sooo gorgeous there, I am sure your wedding will be amazing :)

We had Gonzalo from ArtnColors as our photographer. He's awesome to work with, reasonably priced, and we loved his captures of our wedding and TTD. I would highly recommend him.

I got prices from Chris and Lynn and they start at $5,500.00. Their work is amazing but just not in my budget. I think I am leaning towards Gilda Badillo. Her prices are great and I've heard nothing but good things about her.

@mlw02 - Do you have a DJ yet?
