It seems to be working well. I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so I am trying to work on that, but I can definitely see muscle tone building - in my arms especially.

For me...running is what creates the most change in my body. If I can get back into that, then I think I will be in good shape (no pun intended). And the protein is so necessary to just maintain stamina through my workout and I have to remember that when eating only tomato soup for lunch instead of the chicken and rice like my trainer tells me to do. My sister has seen a good change in her body as well. She needed to lose a few pounds more than me and I think she has done it already.

I believe that cardio is key. Not only does it burn calories, but it works the most important muscle in your body - your heart.

joe and i started taking things serious this past monday. i dont know much about calorie in take or anything. i by no means think im "too heavy" but i do need to tone up, mainly my legs and ass. i want to lose a total of 10 lbs in my legs and ass...but i dont know how to do that without losing weight up top. if i lose any weight my chest tends to look bony b/c i'm just smaller up top. im so unproportioned its sickening. i'm going to do sit ups, crunches, some type of leg work out to get some definition, and eat better. i dont eat bad but no more late night snacks :o( any suggestions?

I have been going to the gym 4 days a week since February (with a month off in August) Each day I run 20 minutes on the treadmill and alternate abs, arms, legs, and shoulders. To date I lost 10lbs. This week FH and I started the South Beach diet. We will be to stage 3 by the wedding. This should get rid of the last 5lbs for me.

Hello Ladies!I am on the Bernstein diet, I started on Oct 16th,pigged out over thanksgiving (canadian) as my last big meal and then diet. I have lost 18 pounds so far in the last 17 days. It has been fairly easy. the diet is restrictive in a way that it is strict as to what you can and cant have but we make awesome meals. and I pay $620 a month plus food but actually it is saving us money because we used to eat out once or twice a day. i just saw the bernstein dr. yesterday and he says that i will beat my goal weight (120 lbs) by end of february. so from 229 lbsoct16th to 120lbs by end of february! which is great since i have my dress, bought it years ago when we first got engaged and it is a wedding dress 12 street size 8 so the dress will actually be too big. i can get it taken in, but i am so excited to be able to wear the dress of my dreams!

It's funny, or weird, whatever, because I think everything is based on how much you want or need to lose, and if you need to tone up. I feel that I have a significant amount of weight to lose (60-75 pounds ideally) but would like to get off about 35 to 40 pounds by our wedding on June 27. I have always had weight issues, and do not want to be skinny, I just want to be at a normal healthy weight. I told my fiance that I want to be healthy to have a family and raise kids... looking beautiful in my dress will be a nice perk, but health is first and formost!

I have been going to the gym 4-5 times a week and am on Jenny Craig. I know with willpower, I will be able to get off the 35-40 pounds I want to lose by the wedding... it is just so freaking hard!!! Feel free to yell at me not to snack on crappy food!!!

I finally decided to start my diet a month ago.* Although I really dont need to drop a lot of weight, I just want to look the best I can maybe get rid of my marms (man arms.)* I have really been trying to eating right.* I have traded in my crab melt sandwiches for a salad with blackened salmon on top (with the dressing on the side)* And I am making sure I take time out of my day (normally at night after work) to get some exercise.* I really dont have a routine but I am speed walking everyday for about 45 minutes and doing weights every other day. I have found I feel refreshed after 45 minutes of exercise and it gives me some time to myself to not think about work or wedding plans and think about how wonderful life is. So far I have lost 3 pounds. Good luck with your plans and let us know if you need some encouragement to start working out.

I'm annoyed! I'm a dancer, I dance 5 days a week. Not always intense cardio practices, but still. I've always been normal/skinny up until I went on THE PILL. I did that when I was 18....big mistake. Prior to the pill I weighed 110 lbs, I'm 5'4". Post pill I weighed about 135. Now, I bounce between 125 and 130. I eat healthy (nutrition freak), there are of course exceptions, but generally a PB and J sandwich in the am (no sugar jam, no sugar pb and whole grain bread), snack (when I remember), lunch is protein + veggies + carbs. Snack, leftovers from lunch...lol. Supper (at around 9) is salad. We also have a training program at work 1hr, two days a week.

I know for a fact I don't drink enough water. I'm not saying I'm fat, but I have a bit of a tummy, some hips and chubby arms.

I'm tired. Nothing works!

Help!

I will start running though...

Did you try changing pills ? The pill that is right for you should not make you put on weight...
