I'm so obsessed I almost lost my job- for real... My boss thinks i've been distracted lately, and the only thing I've been focused on is this election. (we hired a wc so I have barely thought about the wedding lately!) I've tried to keep my obsession out of the workplace, but it's just not possible!

We received a bottle of expensive champagne for our engagement party, and we plan to pop the cork on tuesday nite, or wednesday morning- whenever they finally call it!

Me too! Very excitied and obsessed, yet I will be happy when it's over.

On Halloween all of the parents were talking about the election as we could see all of the campaign signs on the lawns! Even my son's friends got in on the action, they are all 10 and 11 year old kids.

I plan on taking my son with me to the polls so he can see the process,

alyssa - obsessed is an understatement for me, lol! I just spent the weekend in Colorado with a group of Democratic donors from California. We went door-knocking all day every day, it was awesome but so exhausting. I just got back to town and will probably be glued to my TV for the next 48 hours :)

As for news sites I like:

Janet, miss you!

We're going to an election cocktail party tomorrow evening...nothing like drinks to celebrate victory or nurse sorrows in the case of defeat.

BTW Janet (or anyone in the know) - we won't really know the outcome tomorrow night, right? Unless it is a landslide doesn't it take awhile to tally everything and say for certain?

Hi Jamy! I miss you girls too! I leave town for a few days and everyone seems to give birth!

With the caveat that anything could happen tomorrow night, I am sort of thinking we WILL know by the end of the night. Virginia and New Hampshire close at 7pm eastern time, and if they call those states early, then I think that's a sign of things to come. If they wait (news networks to NOT want to be wrong) it could be a long night. Who knows! All I know is I will be drinking heavily! :)

Just listening to Chuck Todd who says to pay attention to: Ohio (7:30 pm), Penn. (7:30), Virginia (7:00) and Florida (8:00). Obama basically needs 2 of the 4 to win, and the longer the news stations take to call those states, the better it is for McCain. (all times eastern)
