Hey ladies quick money question...my travel agent said Playa Pesquero offers free weddings. I just got the information packet from Yaly but there is no mentioning of "free weddings". We're going down in April and there will be 40 of us...just wondering if any of you girls have heard this or is my travel agent wrong. I thought i could get a faster response on here then e-mailing Yaly again....thanks.

I didn't hear anything about free weddings either. Maybe if you eat in one of the a la carte restaurants?

 

We had a symbolic ceremony (300 CUC) and the beach BBQ reception (30 CUC p/p)

The total in Canadian dollars was just under $2000 for 35 people.

What's the difference in the ceremonies...on the info pack that Yaly sent me it's 900cuc but it doesn't say anything about a symbolic ceremony (300 cuc)..thanks.

Congrats teacherbride on getting married! I'm also getting married at the Playa Pesquero in 2010. You have been VERY helpful on giving information as are all the other brides or brides to be!! I'm a new member on here and was wondering how I look at your wedding pictures ?? I would love to see them! Thank-you!

I booked through TA Linsday from this site. She did a really great job! And we got a good price too!

Our wedding package was free, meaning the legal fees, my hair, the ceremony, my bouquet and grooms bout, I can't remember what else, but we got all that because we had over 20 rooms booked. I think that is the requirement, if the free package still exists. Also, if you want the dinner to be at the buffet restaurant its all free. I saw a set up and they give you a private section and do a nice job of it, it all depends on what you are looking for. We did the beach BBQ because it is what I wanted, and I loved it, it was perfect. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I have not booked through a travel agent yet...went to go talk to one on the weekend and she said they had free weddings..meaning legal fees etc. like JulieG said from May to October so we're waiting to hear back from Yaly now. Our wedding is currently April 20 2010 but if it will be free 2 weeks from that date we're going to wait.

 

What month are you getting married?

 

I will definitely pay the extra $ to have the beach bbq...I really like the idea of having the entire night to celebrate with our friends instead of going to the disco.

Thank-you for getting back to me so fast! We were thinking about end of April 2010 as well. I'm talking to a few travel agents now but we really haven't discussed wedding packages yet. We would also wait if there is a free wedding package involved from May- Oct. Can you let me know when you find out about the free wedding packages and what is included, I want to make sure I get this if it is offered.

We are definaltely having the Beach BBQ as well, I agree, I would much rather have that than a private section in a restaurant or the disco for the reception.
