Adding gift to our registry tomorrow

Recommended Posts

I'm so excited, tomorrow we are going to go and add gifts to our registries at The Bay and Home Outfitters for the majority of things. We have already added things to our Sears, and on Friday we are going to Bowring for our "sparkly" items.

Any suggestions? LoL.

We weren't initally going to register, but too many of our guests were asking about our registry, so we caved in. I figured that next weekend we would have the chance to go, just because I have so much homework and marking to do this weekend, but Francis' Mom called and told us that she already received her invitation, which we sent out on Monday, and she lives in the next province, so that means that probably 80% of our guests have already received theirs.

I just need to get my homework done tonight smile27.gif so that I don't have to worry about it tomorrow and can focus all of my attention on picking out things we want. How exciting!!!!

Yay! I find it really fun :) FI couldn't really be bothered though.

Think about room to room and have a plan before going in. Think about the things that you reall are missing. That helped me out - otherwise there is so much to choose from and you can feel a little overwhelmed.

Have a good time!

We were the same - we weren't going to register, but people/guests just kept asking and suggesting, so we finallly went ahead and did it. Now it turns out I'm having two showers in one weekend. What happenedhuh.gif smile72.gif I'm a bit embarassed, but also excited and happy to be having parties rockon.gif

YAY!! Registering is fun!! I am doing a wedding/housewarming registery at the Bay & Home Outfitters as well! I say you can't for wrong with sheets & towels! But you can also throw in those few items that you wouldn't normally buy for yourself; things you want but don't need. Maybe an espresso machine or a margarita or popcorn maker! Spoil yourself and have fun!!

Oh a popcorn maker is very much needed. When Francis and I first got together, I was a very frugal person, so we bought the cheapest popcorn maker possible. Now, whenever I make popcorn, I have to hold a tea towel around the bowl so that the popcorn doesn't fly all over the place. It's very much a funny sight to see.

Today, when we were pre-planning at Home Outfitters, we saw a creme brule blow torch- which we have both decided will be going on our registry, mainly because that is Francis' favourite dessert and because my theory is that everyone needs to own a blow torch for the kitchen.

Ooooh!! Yes, I love my KitchenAid mixer. FI bought me one last Christmas. It was a decadent gift. I love it so much. I just marveled at it for the first few days... I even took pictures of it mixing... and it's pink too!

A blow-torch isn't on my registry, but is on my "to buy" list. For jewelery making, not food. FI is totally in though. wink.gif You would have thought I'd said I wanted a chainsaw to see his expression.

How about a bread maker? I was just at FSIL's shower and she got one. I went and added one to ours elefant.gif A girl I used to live with had one and they were so fun. It's great to know exactly what's in the food you're eating.
