Favorite Water Shoes

I am looking for a pair of water shoes to bring to Mexico (since our resort beach is rocky and we want to go to Cenotes) and I was wondering what style/brand everyone liked.

they are waterproof and if you wear them with socks they are sneakers (wouldn't do in real life but on vacation who cares and then you don't have to bring another extra pair of shoes)

Personally, if you're talking about something that you might really be swimming around in, I'd recommend going to a local dive shop (scuba) and trying on what they have in reef shoes - most stores will have 2 or three styles in each size. My favorite brand has almost always been Cudas.

 

Get something comfy that fits well - not too big because when you get in the water, they will loosen up (not really, but it feels that way) and if they are too big, they can move around and rub. Oh - also - avoid anything with a zipper that doesn't have an internal flap to keep the zipper from away your skin - you'll get blisters in about 2.5 seconds otherwise.
