Registering and destination wedding

Recommended Posts

Just a quick question - I'm sorry if this is a redundant question, I haven't quite gotten the hang of how this site works yet wink.gif

I'm wondering if it's tacky to register when only family basically will be at the wedding itself, but we intend to have a reception for everyone else when we get home?

I don't think it's tacky at all. We didn't want to register either but we also knew that we would be having at least one bridal shower. I am thankful we did register b/c we would have ended up getting some things we weren't happy with.

You could also try searching for "shower etiquette" or "bridal registry" using the search function in the top right hand corner!

We weren't going to register, but friends/family started hounding us, so we did, at the Bay and Linens n' Things. Now L n' T is bankrupt! And it turns out I am goign to have a shower and a lot of people want to come who aren't invited to the wedding which I find blush2.gif It's a very small wedding, so only about 16 people are coming.

I feel uncomfortable about it, but we do also want to have a big party in the New Year, so I'm hoping they'll all come to that too and we'll feel like we're able to make them all a part of it afterward and treat them too. :)
