Playacar Palace 2009 & 2010 Brides - POST HERE!

Recommended Posts

Just got back yesterday from our wedding there- it was amazing! They send it off to Cancun, but mine arrived back the next day. The turnaround was perfect. Just be sure you keep an eye out for it when they return it, because mine was in clear plastic when they brought it back. Luckily I got in there before my fiance did so he didn't see it!!

I was too nervous to get it done when I was down there (just b/c of the luck we'd been having lately about things arriving late, so I didn't want to take a chance of that luck extending to my dress!), but my mom and one of my bridesmaids was able to get the wrinkles from transport out by ironing it through a pillowcase!!  It was risky for sure, but the dress looked SO MUCH better after being ironed...

Kurlyks; I think I saw your wedding reception dinner in the italian restaurant!  I was having dinner there with some of my family.

Anyway, I had such an AMAZING experience at the Playacar Palace.  Everything turned out PERFECTLY!  Laura was so great to work with, she really helped make everything go smoothly and did a great job of setting everything up for us (we brought our own decorations).  Once I get photos back from our photographers, I will make an album so that you can all see how everything came together!

Also, that flower shop that Kurlyks recommended in town was AMAZING (http://www.floresrivieramaya.com/)  the bouquets were so beautiful and their customer service was phenominal.  They have an online-chat function on their website and the lady who works it is fluent in english so she can totally help you with any questions you have.  After we placed our order online through email, we decided that we wanted to go to the shop in person to pay for it when we got there (and that way we could check out the shop and make sure everything was legit before paying!).  Before we got there, the lady from the website chat agreed to meet us there to help translate (as the couple who own the shop don't speak much english), so she was a great tool to help us get everything we were looking for.  The couple that owned the shop were also so helpful, they showed us actual examples of the flowers for our bouquets and even customized their flower spray ant tested it on the flowers right infront of our eyes so we could ensure that the blue accent flowers were the exact color to match our wedding colors.  They also showed us multiple rolls of ribbon to ensure that we had the right color to match.  When it came to delivery time, they were punctual, and the flowers were fresh/beautiful/perfect.

One last thing; Tanya, you are amazing.  Thank you so much for being such a huge help throughout this process.  You have no idea how much I appreciate everything!

No problem, I am glad to help all of you, bc when I was planning the PP was not that popular, so I had to go to Mexico for my answers!!  I am so happy that all of your weddings turned out as you dreamed!!  As did mine!

Hello,

I saw that you had your reception at the North Solarium. Did you find it hot or humid outside? Also did you have a DJ? I didn't know if it would be weird having your event outside if people were walking by or if you had to be more contained because of shutting down the event at 10pm.  Did you prefer this over the south solarium for any reason? I can't seem to find pictures that really say which one is which. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Taylor Williams
