hi there!

 

my name is amanda, our wedding is hopefully going to be next October (2009), and we haven't decided on a location yet. Because October is peak hurricane season in the Carribean, we're currently looking at Curacao, but I would be VERY open to suggestions. This is the first time either of us has planned a trip, and really the first time I've been away for pleasure since I was 12. I've been to Cuba and that's it

Thanks for the suggestions. We want the wedding at an all-inclusive resort, and the wedding, weather permitting, on the beach. The whole white sands, ocean in the background in the pictures thing, ya know?

oh and mexico has the same hurricane problem as our first choice, which was the dominican. so i guess we're thinking south america, i dunno ...

Congrats and welcome to the forum Amanda from another Amanda. Oct is supposed to be peak season... but look at this past year... not a whole lot this month more in Sept for the Domincan. If your heart is telling you the DR then go with it. Sooo many of us chose during the hurricane season and it has all worked out. Just something to think about.
