Hello everyone. My name is Donna and I live in Illinois. I am already married but have agreed to plan my youngest brother's wedding. The dates have been narrowed down to June 6 or 13, 2009. I am waiting for the couple's decision. I have never planned or attended a destination wedding. I joined this forum because after reading many of the posts, I feel that the participants are friendly, have great advice and ideas and are very supportive. Even though I have been married for quite a while, I still enjoy hearing about how others celebrate their love and special days. I looked at a few other sites like DW and didn't like the idea of having to pay to show my commitment or being locked into working with one person (what if we don't work well together?). Not to mention, this forum has so many fresh ideas and advice is given from peole who have experience planning this type of event.

 

I am looking for something extra special in Jamaica. If you have any suggestions, please let me know.

I just got married in Jamaica and loved it!

 

I would suggest developing a "wish list" to help you choose a resort. All Inclusive, Adults Only vs. Family Friendly, Beach vs. Cliffs, Budget, etc.
