STD.. When?!

When is a good time to send out

the STD's?! I have friends and family

and Europe and I know it will be kind

of expensive for them to come over

to Mexico to attend our wedding..

Therefor I would like to give them as

much notice as I possibly can so

they have time so save up money.

At the same time I don't want to

send them out too soon either.

 

So.. when did you/will you send out

your STD's?!

I was wondering the same thing myself. I am planning on getting married in December 2010 and I am going to send the STD's 1 year prior to the date that should give the relatives plenty of time of start saving their money

We sent our std's as soon as we booked our resort.

We sent our STDs 6 months before...but only close friends and family are coming so they all knew about the date & location a few months before that.

 

We did an STD email when we decided on the date (about 8 months before).

 

I dont think a year is too early since you have people traveling a long distance. Give them time to save!

I sent STD's as soon as we booked our resort, which was about 9 months. I wanted to give people as much time as possible to plan and save. I wanted to send about a year in advance, but we couldn't book with our resort yet. I don't think a year is too soon at all for a DW.

Mine will be out about 6 months before, but our site has been up and most people already knew about it, so I wasnt in a mad rush to get them out.

I would send them out after booking your date at the resort like others said...

As soon as we have the resort booked and confirmed, I'll start printing off my std's and send them out asap after that...i'm hoping there will be a 2-3 month gap between them receiving them, and them needing to pay their deposit to book their place.

Send them out as soon as you have all of the resort details confirmed. Your guests will appreciate as much notice as possible.
