I chose an opal for my engagement ring. I told my husband I didnt want the cliche fancy diamond,

so he got me my fave gem, the opal.

My ring has a lot of side detail that would be covered by a band.  So we've decided to do a separate band for my right hand.  I love the idea bc i get 2 beautiful pieces of jewelry out of it!
