Dress BM's picked doesn't come in my color :(

Recommended Posts

Hello,

So, I had decided to let my BM's pick their own dresses because I was trying to be nice and I wanted them to find a dress they really liked, and they picked a After Six dress (which I love!) but it doesn't come in my main color - a bright turquoise. My accent color is a pale beigy/sandy color, which I don't think would look good as a dress color - what colors do you guys think would go well with a bright turquoise blue? The only other blue shade I like that the dress comes in is a bright sapphire blue. My other alternative is to change my colors since I haven't actually bought any decorations or anything yet.....

I let my BMs pick out their own dresses and we actually bought them off the rack. But after going home and planning other parts of the wedding, I realized the color they picked didn't really go with anything else I wanted.

So I ended up taking the dresses back and getting new ones...that were less expensive and were the perfect color.

My girls didn't seem to mind...but I guess it depends on if you are really attached to your colors or not.

Good luck! wink.gif

I was looking for the same thing. I wanted the Gm's shirt and my MOH dress to match. This is what I found. The shirt is Nautica. I got it at Belk. The dress color is Pool from David's Bridal. I NEVER thought I was going to find a shirt and dress to match but this is pretty darn close. PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks everyone for the responnses! I have decided I am going to stick with my original colour choice and go with this really cute Mori Lee halter dress. The girls tried it on and liked it, but one of them felt like she looked really fat in it (which she didn't!). I think it was just that the dress was too small and didn't sit properly on her, so some of the seams were a bit off. Anyways, thanks again for all the suggestions!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
