welcome and congrats!!! we stayed at the Riu Palace in Cabo 3 years ago and we loved it. There's 2 Rius there now (Cabo and Santa Fe). Which one are you considering?

 

Cabo has the PERFECT backdrop for a wedding. your pictures will look amazing because of El Arco in the background and the wavy blue beach!

 

the only bad thing about it is that the beach in cabo is soooo perfect to look at but not to swim in. if beach time and swimming is important to you and your guests, then i would suggest choosing another Riu location.

 

Cabo beach is just tooo strong and sand too rough. ---especially in Riu.

Thanks everyone! The timeshare we got engaged at is a few resorts down from Riu and we could swim in the ocean there, but not sure about the Riu.

Welcome to the forum! I also got engaged and married in Cabo. We got married at the Santa fe. I just wrote a review on it last weekend. It is in the review sub forum if you want to take a look. The beach is alittle rough, but we still played on it. My husband and his friends boogie boarded and my daughter played, so it wasn't to bad. PM me if you need any help. Congrats!!!!
