Am resorts ( owner Dreams & Secrets) now owns Parasio de la Bonita!

Recommended Posts

I think this may be a great thing for destination weddings! I loved this property when I went down to RM a couple of years ago -it's just the right mix of boutique and comfort ! The beach here is one of the most private in RM and just beautiful!

A spokesperson for AMResorts confirmed to Travel Agent that the resort company is taking over the popular Mexico luxury hotel Paraiso de la Bonita effective immediately and will be rebranding the Riviera Maya property in December.

Paraiso de la Bonitaâ€s name will change to Origins Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya. AMResorts is launching a new brand, Origins Wellness & Spa resorts. The announcement is expected to go public this afternoon.

AMResorts is taking over AAA Five Diamond resorts with Paraiso del la Bonita being the first and others are expected to be announced in the future, we learned. There will only be minimal physical changes to the existing property because “this property meets the standards of the Origins Wellness & Spa Resorts brand. Some of the changes will include greening of the property, organic/local profile to the cuisine, added entertainment options, partnerships special romance and wedding packages, among other things,†our source told us. The resort will not close and will continue to operate as Paraiso de la Bonita and change to Origins Paraiso de la Bonita Riviera Maya by December.

Unfortunately at this time it's an adults only (16 and up) resort, it's also not all inclusive-

From their website - Paraiso de la Bonita is an Adult Only resort, please note only teens from 16 years and older are accepted in the property sharing their parents suite and extra person charge applies (12 years and older in Holiday Periods: April 1-15, July 1 - August 31, November 18-25 & December 20 - January 3)

Of course it's hard to say what changes AM resorts will make!

When I first started looking for a resort a friend of mine recommended this place for a honeymoon spot. She and her husband stayed there and said it was INCREDIBLE. Its very high end though and quite expensive. Not sure if that will come down at all when Dreams/Origins takes over. it's stunning though; that is for sure!
