Beach Wedding Locations???

Recommended Posts

I have always wanted a beach wedding. I live in San Francisco and have been unable to find a location to have a beach wedding. I know there are some beaches north of here that we can have the ceremony at and then go to a separate location for the party. However does anyone know of any place right on a beach for the reception? Not the cliff house please and it does not have to be in San Francisco but in the vicinity. Thanks so much:)

I found this response to Norcal beach weddings on Yahoo answers...

I researched lots of venues on the ocean when planning my daughter's wedding. There aren't a lot of options, but here are a few you might consider:

If money is no object, you could try the Ritz-Carlton in Half Moon Bay. An absolutely spectacular setting on the ocean. The wedding can be indoors or out; the reception areas are gorgeous.

Also, if you're willing to travel to Monterey, any of the golf and country clubs along 17 Mile Drive have wedding packages. Pebble Beach is right on the water. But, very expensive.

A more reasonably priced option is the Best Western, the only hotel in Monterey that's right on the beach. They can do the wedding and reception on the beach or indoors.

A little closer than Monterey is Seascape Resort in Aptos. It's right on the water, too. http://www.herecomestheguide.com/locatio...

For more information, I suggest you check out "Here Comes the Guide" at:

Northern California Wedding Locations, Southern California Wedding Locations, Ceremony and Reception Sites, California Wedding Event Professionals. San Francisco Bay Area, Wine Country, Los Angeles, Orange County and San Diego Weddings. Winery, Garde (You can also buy the book at any large bookstore like Barnes and Noble.) Check out the venues in Santa Cruz and Monterey and Carmel.
