Can anyone tell where the best resort bar would be to have our guests join us for a welcome drink. Just a little get together. It would probably be around 6pm. I want to include it our welcome letter.

Also does anyone have the hours of the bars and restaurants?

I asked Erika about this, she said the Tequila bar is near the beach and it costs $15 per person.

The beachfront and pool bars close around 6 or 7 each day. You can try to set up a cocktail party at one of these bars for a price. It would be about $14/pp per hour.

The only bars open at the time you are looking to meet would be the lobby bars located in the courtyard near the stage. One is called Ole. I can't remember the other one. And the sports bar is open all day. Its indoors and air-conditioned, has pool tables, foosball, air hockey, etc.

The courtyard area near the stage is a nice spot to get together with a group. Lots of seating plus you can watch the show which starts around 9 each night.

i agree with amanda, the two bars in the pavillion are Ole' and Bravo, both are identical and there is plenty of seating nearby. it would be free if you just plan on telling everyone to meet at one or the other, since the drinks are all inclusive, no need to set up and pay for anything unless you wanted something exclusive and private. i am going to look thru my pics real quick and see if i can find one for you BRB....

 

OK these are crappy pics but hopefully will help you get an idea.

this is the area that both Ole and Bravo are on either side of, so the part of the picture you can see, just to the left and just to the right outside the picture is where these 2 identical bars are located.

and in this picture you can sort of see one of the bars, (far right side of pic) as if you were walking thru the pavillion towards the main lobby. this bar is also located just outside the sports bar, fyi.

they are both 4-sided, open air bars. no privacy, but totally A/I.

Is the Sports Bar All inclusive and 24 hrs? What is it like?

yes lisa its all inclusive AND 24/7, i will try and post pis of that later (i'm in bed with the laptop and pics are on an external hard drive right now!)

 

the sportsbar, IMO, is not where i would like to have a welcome drink type of thing. could be a fun place but just not classy. its more of a computer room/frat boy hang out haha

I agree with Abbie. We all met at the Ole bar everynight after dinner and hung out or went out. The sports bar is bright with pool tables video games and computers.
