the paid membership has this nifty little "red light green light" thing that tells you when you should be BDing. not worth the $ imo but i think it's kind of funny. like readyyyyyy.... go!

i have a question too- i've started tracking CM and cycles in ff (i think i'll start temping in the next month or so) and based on that it also has me as ovulating on day 14. do you think ff just automatically defaults to that until you start temping? this whole day 14 thing is frustrating.

Hmmm, I don't really know. I mean obviously you can be one of those that ovulates on day 14. How long are your cycles? Does it seem to you to make sense to be that day? You can post your chart here for review too, here is mine...

I don't remember when I first started, but I wonder if FF assumes it's CD14 until your body signs tell it otherwise...

is this your first cycle charting? i think it is (sorry, i am just getting into this thread late in the game!).

but there is nothing really for FF to base that prediction on if it's your first cycle - temping only tells you once you have ovulated, not when you will. KWIM? so unless you're really strict about charting the CM and other signs (like O pains) it's really tough to predict when you will O unless you've established a regular pattern.

When I got off bc my cycles were so messed up! The cycle I got pregnant on I ovulated on cd 35! That is a long cycle.

yea, ann i think you're right. it is my first cycle charting so i guess that is just the default. the default makes sense but it's confusing at first.

i will say though, that i never gave all these random signs or pains a second thought. now it's crazy how much more aware you become.

I KNOW! I really want to have gwen read the TCOYF book when she's older - I wish I had known so much of that stuff!

DH and I aren't TTC yet, but I have a question for all you ladies that are, or have!

Does everyone feel like they are financially comfortable having a baby?? I am starting to think more & more about TTC, but I don't know if we can afford it! And I don't know if we ever will be able to. DH and I make decent $, but we also have pretty decent things, and go on vacations, etc. I'm just wondering how you all do it financially. I know we will have to make sacrifices when we have a baby, but I still don't know if we would be able to get by. I'm so stressed out about all of this...am I the only one!! sad.gif

no, you definitely aren't the only one...

unless you are a crazy saver or rich, i don't know how anyone would feel ready financially. seriously.

i just know that there are going to be times when things feel tight, or we won't go on the trip we thought we would, etc., but we'll make it work. we live in a modest house and we don't spend much, but we do like nice things and we do like to travel, so we're trying to curb some habits now. and we made a goal to save x amount by the summer, so when it is time, at least we'll feel like we have a cushion.

that probably didn't help, but you aren't alone :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
