right now he's saying that he's not until a "professional" assess the situation. fine, i get that. but why the hell his ass didn't get over here this week i don't know. he and his "professional" are coming over Mon morning.

oh yea - we already have an estimate from someone we found - did that this past week. and the guys who rent upstairs have already said the owner's "professional" doesn't do very good work - they've seen it. so i will not allow that guy to do the work - he can take a look - but he's not getting his hands on our walls and ceilings. i am totally prepping myself for a bit of a battle on Mon morning. Bring it on!

UPDATE: the owner from upstairs and his handyman "buddy" came over this morning to check out the damage. you could tell they were fighting it all the way. the handyman guy actually said "the floor upstairs is all covered in dust" - i said "so is mine now that it's dry" - ass. long story short, they proved where the leak was coming from by testing it out -and sure enough, they took responsibility and made a claim against their insurance. now we just have to get someone out here to fix it!

Ick, I hate when they try to weazel their way out of it and not take responsibility. It's like "Ya buddy, I did this on purpose just to see what you'd do!!". I'm glad they'll be taking care of it - and hopefully soon!!
