Placecards RD & WD- 1st attempt

Recommended Posts

Here is the first attempt at my starfish placecards. I don't know if I'll stick with only red or only turquiose or a mix. I haven't figured out the best way to tie yet, but here's a quick look at them:

Also, here are the 'curled hearts' I mentioned in another post. I got these from Martha Stewart. You write the name of each person on the heart (before you curl it) and place it in their glass at the table. We are doing a mix of bright colors and will have these for our rehearsal dinner (mexican theme). We have 100+ guests so I think it will look bright and festive for our place cards for RD (& cheap and easy too!).

I love the colors and the handmade touches. I think I would recommend that you tie the name just around one "leg" of the starfish, instead of around the middle 2-3 times...I just think it will help keep it looking simple and natural instead of tangled up (if that makes sense?)

Thanks Janet! I agree - I need to work on the tie. Wrapped just once should look much better!
