i'm surprised that there has not been anything on the spanish news about this recently. i am reading all the spanish newspapers i can to get some up to date info (the translation link morgan provided is pretty janky and incorrect because it doesnt account for grammar) and give you all a summary of what is going on.

A wedding guest called Dreams Tulum today and was told they were closed---with no date for re-opening. My wedding is 11/21 so I am a bit freaked out. Does anyone have any information?? THANK YOU!

The mods are doing what we can to process the info in spanish (several of us are bilingual) and will post some updates as they become available. Right now I am working on reading everything I can in spanish to create a summary for you guys.

 

As of now, Dreams Tulum is closed, and does not have a scheduled reopening date. So far what I am reading in the spanish newspapers, DT had numerous violations and serious ones at that. Hang tight, we will get you some info ASAP. In the meantime we recommend that you contact your TA immediately.

I am sure it will be worked out quickly. Apart from travel plans so many people depend on the resorts for their income. I absolutely think they will find a balance between enforcing the environmental laws and affecting the local economy. I hope this doesn't cause too much stress for anyone!

mods, is there any way of alerting all our dreams tulum brides of this? sometimes it's easy to miss a relevant post and this one is very important, especially if their wedding date is soon!
