definitely don't let anyone rush you ... even if it means being a little flexible with your wedding date.

 

i looked into those two resorts a little before i settled on dreams cancun. the price is right at riu, that's for sure ... but then dreams offered kids stay free and that clinched it for me. anyway i liked riu cancun slightly better than riu caribe, except that the sun goes down early at cancun (settles behind buildings leaving the beach in the shade). caribe seemed to fare better in that regard, and i think had a bigger stretch of beach too.

I definately agree with mummergirl. Take your time. I went through three countries and at least a dozen resorts before I made my decision. the wedding date was the least of my worries. I just tried to make sure I picked a date that would accomodate most of my guests. Don't make a decison because you feel you need to. There are hundreds of resorts in the area and you have plenty of time. Relax and talk to your FI

Sorry youre having a problem with RIU Cancun, that place is amazing!! I went with DF for our one year anniversary a few years back. We plan on going back hopefully soon!!
